Iran’s Tehran Aerospace Exhibition Center is more a plane cemetery than an exhibition center.
It hosts old, rare planes that were once part of the Persian aviation.
Most of the planes have interiors that scream retro and luxury.
From a Boeing 727 that once was owned by the sister of the Shah to former Iran Air Cargo 747, a few Boeing 737s and some other smaller, rare plane types – the place is a delight for any aviation enthusiast.
The center is close to Mehrabad airport and surprisingly most taxi drivers are unaware of its location. 35°42’47″N 51°17’35″E are the coordinates with Ekbatan being the closest metro station.
