The Iris flower data is a data set introduced by the British statistician and biologist Ronald Fisher in his 1936 paper “The use of multiple measurements in taxonomic problems”.

It is one of the easiest and most resourceful datasets in pattern recognition. Nothing could be simpler than the Iris dataset to learn classification techniques. If you are completely new to data science, you should begin here.
