  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 whisk
  • 1 bath bomb mould; you can use a toy mold or a plastic ornament Buy here

Steps:

  • When making a bath bomb, you must put all your dry ingredients in one ball and wet ingredients in another.
  • Pour 1 cup of baking soda in your bowl
  • Pour citric acid in the same bowl, if you do not have citric acid, you can use lemon juice. It basically makes your bath bomb stick to each side.
  • Add ½ cup of Epsom salt
  • Mix all the dry ingredient together
  • Add food colouring into a bowl
  • Add essential oil in the bowl
  • Add 1 teaspoon of water
  • Add 3 teaspoon of olive oil
  • Mix all your wet ingredients together
  • Now, add the wet ingredients into the bowl of solid ingredients. You have to pour it really slowly and carefully as the citric acid should not be triggered.
  • When the mixture starts to get crumbly, knead it with the help of your hands.
  • Stuff the bath bomb mixture into the bath bomb mold carefully and gently. Put the mixture to each side lightly and then close both the side of the mold so that the excess falls off the side.
  • Put the bomb in the refrigerator for 30 mins
  • Take it out and tap it with a spoon, to take the solid beautiful bath bomb out.

For this recipe you would need

  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/2 cup corn-starch Buy here
  • 1/2 cup Epsom salts
  • 4 tablespoons cream of tartar Buy here
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil (melted) you can replace with vegetable oil if desired
  • 3/4 tsp. water
  • Food colouring

Steps:

  • In one bowl, mix all the dry ingredients (baking soda through cream of tartar)
  • In another bowl, mix together the wet ingredients (coconut oil through water). Mix food colouring along with this.
  • Slowly and carefully mix together the dry and wet ingredients
  • When the mixture gets crumbly, and dry enough but wet enough to mould accordingly, knit it together to a shape.
  • Fill the egg shells with the mixture. You have to make sure that both the sides of the egg shell is fully packed and filled with the mixture else it will break apart. You might need to help your kid for this step.
  • Then, squeeze the egg shell together in order to remove the bath bomb from the mold.
  • Keep it in a towel and let it dry overnight.
  • Enjoy the fizzy bath next morning in your bath tub.

 

Recipe Three

For this recipe you would need

  • 1 cup of baking soda
  • ½ cup of epsom salt
  • ½ cup of citric acid
  • 1 tsp. of olive oil
  • Food colouring (optional)
  • 1 tsp. of water
  • 15-20 drops of essential oil
  • Silicon mold Buy here

Steps:

  • Mix all the dry ingredients in one bowl.
  • Mix all the wet ingredients in one bowl.
  • Slowly put the wet ingredients in the dry ingredients bowl
  • Knit it carefully with your hand, and the mixture should be not too dry and not too wet
  • Fill in the mold carefully with the mixture. The key is to fill it tightly as the mixture is damp. There should be no gaps.
  • Keep it overnight and your cute shaped bath bomb will be ready to fizz!

The ingredients used are exactly the same as the above mentioned ingredients.
You just need your favourite action figure or toy along with the ingredients.

Steps:

In a bowl add:

  • 1 cup of baking soda
  • ½ cup of corn starch
  • ½ cup of Epsom salt
  • 4 tbsp. cream of tartar

In another bowl add:

  • 3 tbsp. of olive oil/ baby oil
  • 3 drops of food colouring

 

Next,

  • Add the wet ingredients in the bowl of dry ingredients, slowly
  • Add some water, and knit it with your hand. If it sticks together, then the mixture is ready
  • Fill each mold cups and pat it down tightly. In the mold cups, keep your favourite toy or action figure.
  • Do the same thing for all the six cups
  • After some time, take them out of the silicon molds and dry them overnight
  • After 24 hours, your bath bombs with your favourite action figure inside the bomb will be ready. Put it in your bath tub and play with your toy as it slowly comes out.
